1. Stimulate Our Genetic Base Tools

Each person has a built-in "genetic toolset" that we stimulate to higher levels of capability, sensitivity, and synergy.

This toolset can be narrowed down to two things:
  • Sensory tools that allow us to sense and interact in a timely manner to our surroundings—specifically our sight and sense of touch.
  • Our physical machine that allows us to move when we sense something—our heart that pumps blood to the muscles, our lungs that oxygenate our blood.

Sensory Tools

Heightening our sensory tools allow us to better detect threats. It allows us to formulate better tactics for dealing with the threats by reading cues revealing weaknesses in our attackers and pathways for escape in our environment.

Key words in our drills, techniques and fundamentals pages to look for that heighten our senses are: periphery, energy drill, our sensory vehicle, sensing base, energy flow, and proprioception.

Physical Machine

Having a well-conditioned body vs resistance is the default requirement for greater success in a confrontation against single or multiple attackers. The body requires training to build up its energy and muscle load resources so that it is there for you without thinking about it. Also, training it to adapt quickly to changes in balance is essential. Every contact fight will present you a challenge to your base, endurance (including mental endurance), and mobility.
